Hi, I have tried in Madrid and I haven't obtain map or GPS data. I understand that there aren't node database of Madrid area but could be possible obtain the GPS reference and map?

Vodafone RnD has developed a new application that permits users to contribute to articles in wikis. You can view and edit articles, and also upload photos from your device. Try this application on Betavine and contribute to this open source project over at the Forge.

It exposes the IMS functionality by a high level API, hiding the technology complexity and enabling you to develop 3rd party IMS applications in an easy way. We've just released version 2.0 of betavine.net. In December we decided to re-write the whole platform using standard open source components. This gives us greater flexibility, allowing us to develop new site features for you to use.

We are pleased to announce the first of a series steps we are taking to help promote Betavine apps to a wider audience. As of lunchtime today, there is now a link to betavine.mobi in the Applications area on Vodafone Live! in Spain. This is a fantastic opportunity that opens up Betavine to over 16 million mobile users! If this proves popular we hope to link with other countries in the near future.
The homepage displayed to users accessing the site from Vodafone Live! contains a set of 'Featured Applications'. If you would like to showcase your application via this channel, please email webmaster@betavine.net.
Vodafone Global are launching a suite of applications that work on a range of phones. Due to the way apps are hosted, and our inbuilt feedback and deployment system they have chosen Betavine to partner with.

thanks mate.
i can add the OSM data of madrid to my server than you can also see where you are. at the moment the server is only running chosen areas for development purposes. what do you think? cheers, michael btw.: i have completed the certificate thing for psiMobileJni tool. it will be available on the project site this evening so you dont have to sign this manually anymore |

okay,
i have added a map from madrid to the server. try it now. with your n95/8gb keep in mind: - If you have aktivated Bluetooth GPS in the mobile and no external Bluetooth GPS is available/in_range GPS will not get a lock work even if buildin GPS is checked in options menu. (possible phone bug) - using car4car.jar on a N95 (JSR179) phone you have 2 opetions to connect to GPS. Out Of The Box (jsr179) or through config menu with external Bluetooth GPS. I think the GPS has to be paired with the phone prior to this. dont know exactly. please tell me if you can get a gps lock under normal conditions and if the map renders properly. cheers michael |
