Introduction:

Location aware services are far from new; Sunset is one of the first solutions to harness those capabilities and enables new forms of social interactions around media content; no longer are we restricted to sharing photos through endlessly browsing archaic directory hierarchies. Sunset allows media to convey stories of trips and event clearly, enhancing grounding between friends, family members and enriching social interactions.

Technical Milestones: Sunset has undergone many internal iterations, to ensure it not only works flawlessly, but efficiently across a large number of devices available today! From low end Smartphones to high end Pocket PC and PDAs.

Sunset is Bvine Driven: Our attention to technical detail has allowed us to reach the largest number of handsets available on the market today. However its thanks to the Bvine community that Sunset is the success it is today. The latest release v2.2 is community driven!! Which has clearly set v2 in the right direction, to surpass our very own successful v1 release.

Sunset is a Windows Mobile GPS Logger that allows you to capture and store you running/hiking trails, which can be used to geo-tag your photos for later visualisation on Google Earth. It's FREE! Download enjoy and let me know what you think :-)

Installation Instructions:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Install the application by copying the cab file to your device via ActiveSync then running it on your device.
2) Ensure you have paired up a GPS receiver with your device and have assigned 'com7' as the outgoing devices com, for devices with a built in GPS ensure this is the GPS 'Hardware' port not programme port.
3) To start GPS logging select Menu -> Start GPS Trail.
4) To stop logging select Menu - > Stop GPS Trail.
5) You can find all your GPS logs in the following device directory '\Storage Card\(kharsim.net)\GPSLogs'.
6) International locale issue: If you live outside the UK to ensure GPX format compatibility please set you normal number format to the following (English: '.' For decimal and ',' as digit grouping).

Additional Notes: To GPS tag your photos: use the gpx log files in combination with Microsoft's WWMX Location Stamper or DGManager.NET Nb. For the best results with 'WWMX' please ensure that BOTH your Mobile device and Digital cameras date/time settings are identical, as WWMX relies heavily on date/time in GPS tagging your photos. - Vastly Enhanced Performance and Compatibility.
- New GPS status panel added! Providing more live-active information.
- Bluetooth is now automatically started on application launch and closed on exit.
- Enhanced GPS logging accuracy, through the integration of a much enhanced Kalman filter engine, ensuring only the best co-ordinates get logged. Additionally a lot of care and attention was put into ensuring the outputted GPS log files were fully compliant with the industry standard 'GPX' schema allowing full compatibility with all the major mapping providers such as Google Earth.

Latest Edition v2.2: Sunset now provides better support for DGManager.NET ;-)
- DGManager.NET is a management utility that allows visual geo-tagging of photos using the 'GPX' output from Sunset. Its an open-source project that has been very active recently and provides users with an alternative to the WWMX Location Stamper. The update fixes a memory leak that causes inconsistencies in gps precision after extended use.
